ACVC is proud to host the VOLLEY STATE tournament series in Central Virginia. VOLLEY STATE is a tournament brand designed to bring competitive, well-run volleyball events to athletes and families throughout Virginia and beyond.

ACVC runs a February - April club season that welcomes teams from outside of Albemarle County to participate in the tournaments. Learn more about the ACVC Select League and read below if you have an interest in forming your own team(s) and joining us as we host several tournaments at Horizon’s Edge Sports Campus in Harrisonburg or an Albemarle County High School Gym.

2027 Info

COST:

The cost to participate in the 2027 Volley State tournaments is $1250/team*. This covers all 5 tournaments.

*12U season includes only the first 3 tournaments at a cost of $750/team

AGE DIVISIONS:

The 2027 season will include those who fall into these age divisions: 14U, 16U, and 18U as defined in the following chart (12U is new this season and includes 3 tournaments)

TOURNAMENT COMPOSITION:

Teams will play two matches (best out of 3), work one match, and may or may not have one match 'off'. The final (5th) tournament will be the same set-up but schedule is based off of season standings.

February 21 (Sunday) @ Horizon's Edge Sports Campus, Harrisonburg

March 6th (Saturday) @ Horizon's Edge Sports Campus, Harrisonburg

March 20 or 21 @ Albemarle High School, Charlottesville (end of 12U season)

April 10th (Saturday) @ Horizon's Edge Sports Campus, Harrisonburg

April 25th (Sunday) @ Horizon's Edge Sports Campus, Harrisonburg

OFFICIALS:

Players and coaches are required to officiate (R1 and R2), run scoreboard (flip board), judge lines, and keep scorebooks for one match each tournament. We hire R1 officials from all over Central Virginia, however, if not enough are available, the games must go on!

PRACTICE SPACE/COACHES/GEAR

Teams outside of ACVC are required to secure their own practice space, coaches, and gear. We simply require payment to secure your spot in the tournaments, a roster, Certificate of Insurance, and a Release of Liability signed by all players and coaches. Uniforms must meet the USAV requirements as outlined in section 4.3.3. of the Rulebook.
